"The teacher I most enjoyed"

Today we are all posting about the years we have been here in J. H. House. We are thinking about what we have enjoyed most about our years here. Well I really do not know what I am going to pick. So far I really have liked all of these years here.

The teacher that I liked the most was Mrs. Barajas in fourth grade. She was the nicest, funniest, and also the best teacher that I have had so far. What I liked most about Mrs. Barajas was that she was really nice and funny. We would do language she would let us say the sentence out loud and if it was right she would throw us candy to see if we could catch it. Now that we do not have Mrs. Barajas any more it is not the same as it used to be.

Last year everyone in Mrs. Barajas class loved her and still do. We would always have so much fun. When we all found out that Mrs. Barajas was not in school any more we all felt really sad. We all wanted Mrs. Barajas back. We would always ask for her and they would always say that she was not here any more. Once I asked Mrs. Johnson where was Mrs. Barajas actually and she said that Mrs. Barajas had a big problem here and that she needed to go to Texas and live over there and never come back. We never understood why she had to leave and not say bye to us or anything.

"Know about Six Traits of Writing"

Last week we showed you the best examples of “The Six Traits of Writing”. Today we are going to talk about them again. Some of us chose to write about beds, rooms, closets, and even cupcakes.

Now I am going to explain the six traits of writing. The six traits of writing have a lot to do with your writing. This depends on how your writing will sound and how it would make your writing feel.

Ideas and Content- Hello, Conventions, and Sentence Fluency.

Conventions- Do you remember what we had planned to do this afternoon?

Sentence Fluency- Yes, I do remember what we were going to do.

Ideas and Content-What are we going to do today?

Conventions- We is going to have a very important meeting.

Sentence Fluency- I knew that we were going to have a meeting today.

Conventions- This meeting is about the plans we are going to do.

Ideas and Content- I know what the plans are for the meeting.

Conventions- We is glade that you know what we are going to do today.

Sentence Fluency- The plans are to see who is going to join the election to be a new member in the club.

Conventions- Well we do have to pick a good person to join.

Sentence Fluency- I found the best person we could ever get.

Ideas and Content- Who did you find?

Sentence Fluency- I found this smart, knows about computers, and is intelligent guy that needs a job and he got it his name is “Vladimir Smart.”

Conventions- He is the only good one.

Ideas and Content- You were right you did pick the best person there was.

Vladimir

Smart- Thank you for choosing me.

Know the Six Traits of Writing

The six traits of writing are what we use when we write. The six traits of writing are: Ideas and Content, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, And Conventions. When you mostly use these is when you are going to proofread your story or your post.

A lot of people might tell you that using the six traits of writing does not change your story but it really does change it. If you do not use the six traits of writing your story might be dull and boring so it is a good idea to join them in. The six traits of writing are what make your writing stand out and sound even better than it did before with out them.

I think that the hardest of the six traits of writing is organization. I think that one is the hardest because it kind of confuses me. It is like the hardest one to understand. The other ones are not as difficult as organization.

The one that I like most of the three traits of writing is Ideas and Contents. I like that one the most because this one is easy to understand and it also is the one that I think is very interesting. This is also the best one that is in the six traits of writing well that is what I think but you might not think the same way as I do. You might like organization and that is ok too.

That is what I think about The Three Traits of Writing. I hope that you can tell me which one you like. I also hope that I could hear from you soon. You can tell me if I need to add more details or if I need to add anything else.

Do you think that my story makes sense?

"Podcasting:Chapter Two"

I did not just have to do a comment to him I had to do the comment but I did not have to write it I had to podcast it to him. Last Thursday Mrs.Anne Davis came once more to J.H.House. She came because she wanted to podcast all of us in webblogging. But this time we had to do something more difficult. We had to all do a comment to someone in Mrs.Neville's second grade class. The person that I had to do the comment to was Ian.

But it was not like the other one we did.At first when Mrs.Davis said we had to do a podcast to them I was like imbarased and shy to do it but when I really did do it it wasn't so bad. I thought it was going to be like the last podcast we did but it was not this one was a little more interesting. I liked this one more because I kind of had an idea of what it was going to be like.

I am going to give some ideas and contenents I am also going to give some Organization and also voice and word choice:

     Ideas And Content:

  • What is my topic?
  • Is my paper clear?
  • Did I try to make my writing come alive?
  • Do I have enough details?
  • Do I have a good begining middle and end?
  • Does my reader understand what I am trying to say?
  • Have I included any dialogue?
  • What about writing my ideas down and choosing the best one?
  • Do I have an orginazation?
  • And Do I have enough details?

      Organization:

  • How does my topic start?
  • Are the details in order?
  • Is my paper easy to read?
  • Is my paper in time order?
  • Does my writing have a good beggining?
  • Are all the details in the correct sequence?
  • Do my links go with my message?
  • How does my topic end?

        Voice:

  • Is this interesting to me?
  • Did I give my opinion?
  • Did I say everything I wanted to?
  • What did I like the most?
  • Did my readers feel that they could hear my voice?
  • Do I like what I wrote?
  • Am I comfortable with what I wrote?
  • Does my story match my attitude?
  • How do I want my readers to feel?

         Word Choice:

  • Does your writing flow?
  • Have I used any exciting words?
  • Did you use any vivid vocabulary?
  • Did I use different or interesting words?
  • Will they make a good comment?
  • Do you have descriptive words?
  • Did I grab my readers attention with my words?

This is all that I have for you right now and I will try not to make it extremely long like this one but still I hope you like it.

                                                                        What did you think?

Jackpot

Here comes more good news. Did you know that eight people have won the biggest lottery in the

U.S.

Also a group of co-workers from

Nebraska

won the $365 million Powerball Prize.
When all of the taxes have been taken out each winner will recieve 15.5 million.

One of the great lucky winners, Mike Terpstra, is not sure what she is going to do with all of the money. Mike said that everyone has a dream.

All of the winning tickets were bought at a conenience store in Lincoln, Nebraska on Febuary 17. The winning numbers were 15, 17, 43, 44, and 48 and a powerball number of 29 were drawn on Saturday.

Lottery is a form of gambling that is run by a state. The states get money from the lottery tickets. A common way to run the lottery is to divide the tickets cost.

Many people say that lottery is like gambling. People may become addicted to gambling. Problems sometimes occur as people spend money supporting their gambling habit. For the same reason that is going on, many forms of gambling areas are illegal. But state controlled lotteries are llegal. Although they say that gambling is illegal. They also say that they should have a different way of earning money.

If I would have a chance to win the lottery I would not know what to do with it all. I do not think lottery is like gambling. I don't think that because lottery and gambling do not sound alike nor seem like they are related at all. That is what I think.

What do you think about this?

Recreating My New Post

You have heard about this story before so it will seem familiar to you. I am writing one of my posts over. I am writing it over because the first one was a little weird and I would like to make it look better. On the first post I realized that I made spelling and punctuation errors. But I hope that in this post it will be much better.  Also on the first post I really did not add a lot of details. On this post I would like to have more details than I did on the first one.

I would like to start of with the subjects that I like the most. The subjects that I like to do are writing and math. I really enjoy writing because I am a person who really likes to write. And I like math because I like to do math facts and I also like it because because most of the time the things that we do are easy but still sometimes everything is not easy. Writing and math have always been my favorite subjects. So now you know what subjects I like to do the most.

There are other things that I also like to do. I really like to be with my friends and family. My friends and I will just have fun if we walk and talk for a while. I also love being with my family, because we can go out and have lots of fun. How I have had fun with my parents is when my dad sometimes goes to our yard and plays with us we often play Basketball, soccer, and sometimes even tennis I think that my dad is lots of fun. I also ask my parents if they would let me take my friends to the movies or to go shopping and sometimes they may say yes.Once I remember a time that we went to skate night and my parents told me that I could take a friend and I took one of my cousins with us and we had a blast it was so much fun. My cousin and I would go and skate together and play some of the games that they have over there.  I really do love being with my family and friends because we have lots of fun.

I was really looking forward to having my own weblog. I hope that having my own weblog will be a good experiance for me because I really enjoy typing and I also love to write. I am glad that I had to finish my very first weblog.   In weblogs I have learned so many things that I could not learn in my classes. Weblogging is a really good thing and I really enjoy being in it. I was glad when my teacher asked me if I wanted to be in webloggs. And I said "sure" that I would like to be in it.

Do you think that this post is better than the first one and why?

All a Dream

Today we are writing about extra Wacky Tales. My post may be a little long but I really liked doing it. It really catched my eye.

I fell asleep yesterday listening to an old album that my mom had. I really enjoyed it, though I had a weird dream. It was kind of like one of the old songs.

I've been workin' in

Mexico

,
All the blue day.
I've been workin' in

Mexico

,

Just to pass the time away.
Don't you hear the whistle laughing?
Rise up so early in the morn.
Don't you hear Yandel shouting
“Marisol, fly your horn? ”

Marisol, won't you fly,
Marisol, won't you fly,
Marisol, won't you fly your horn?
Marisol, won't you fly,
Marisol, won't you fly,
Marisol, won't you fly your horn?

Someone's in the living room with Marisol.
Someone's in the living room, I know.
Someone's in the living room with Marisol
Strumming on the old Guitar.

It was the weirdest dream I've had in a long time!

Podcasting!

Last week,an instructor from Georgia State University came to our school. Her name was Mrs.Anne Davis. When Mrs.Davis was here she had a chance to pod cast all of us in weblogging. It was fun watching everyone else but when it was my turn I was shy to speak. You can listen to me speak if you just Download Diana.mp3.

If I had a chance to podcast anyone it would be to podcast Wisin Y Yandel. They are famous singers you might have heard of them or know who they are. If I did have a chance to podcast them I would ask them a ton of questions. I would be really glad if I did get to podcast them one day.

Do you know what I did not get a chance to podcast them. I was disappointed when I found out that I could not podcast them. But it was ok because I could interview someone in this school and it would be Graciela. I would podcast her because she is friendly, cares about people, and she has a lot of friends.

So now you have an idea why I would rather podcast Graciela. Like I said she has many many friends. I would really have fun if I interviewed Graciela.

Would you also like to interview Graciela?
