Analogies Are so Cool!

Have you ever thought about comparing one thing to another in a cool way. Well that's how analogies are. They are a fun wat to compare things.Here's an example of one.

Cloud is to white as grass is to green. See that's a fun way. You are comparing them as colors. They might not have that much in common, but as long as they have at least one thing in common it should be ok. Most analogies are easy, but sometimes it's good to try a hard one that even your teacher or parent couldn't figure out. I like to do that sometimes, but Sometimes I make ones that I can't even figure out. I guess that's not such a good idea because if I can't figure it out then how will anyone else figure it out. Well, I guess someone else could figure it out as long as it's not to hard.  Well, I have to go now because I just created this analogie that I can't figure out, but I'm not giving up.

My Mysterious Math Problem.

Shaia went to the mall and she had $8000.00 to spend. First she went to get something to eat at the food court. She went to Burger King. She spent $8.00.She bought her mother something too. It cost $ 4.00. The next place she went to was the shoe store. She bought three pairs of shoes. It cost her $99.27. The next store she went to was the clothes store. She bought three shirts eight pants and another pair of shoes. It cost her $108.55. Shaia saw this cute pink and purple shirt that would go perfect with her new shoes and jeans. It cost $85.00, but will she have enough money to buy it? 

My 2008 Resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people have a New Year's Resolution, but I really didn't think about it until I got back to school.  Most of my friends had one about them getting along with their brothers and sisters, but I have one about school.

My New Year's Resolution is about me passing all of my timed tests and taking more Reading Counts Test. I plan to do that by reading more reading counts books and studying my math facts every night. I already have started to pass more of my math facts test and I can't wait to go to the library and get more books. I already can see that I am going to like my New Year's Resolution. I can't wait until Next year!
