4th Grade In 5th Grade

  To Whom It May Concern,

Hello, 4th grade students, I bring good tidings, next year you are going to be in the 5th grade. I am going to tell you what it is like in the 5th grade.

Well, first of all, I am going to congratulate you. You are one step ahead, so you may a lot of freedom, and responsibility comes with it. 5th grade is almost like 4th grade, except you do all kind of parties and... you get a little more homework. Well that's because 5th grade is serious,it's the grade that considers if you go to 6th grade or not.

That's just a warning, good luck in 5th grade!

Story Map!

If you know stories so well, you should be able to make a story map and it should give you a summary of the story. I knew my story really well. Bound For Oregon is a wonderful story, and you should know that because of my story map. I want to see your story map. It should be good unless, you didn't read the story.

How To Do Your Best On The CRCT

I heard that the CRCT is coming up. It is time for everyone to  pay attention in class and to do your best,if you want to pass the 5th  grade.

The day before the CRCT get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast.  Prepare for the test, because everyone knows that if you don't pass the CRCT, see you back in 5th grade.

During the test,don't cheat,it'll get you in trouble and you won't pass. Stay calm, because if you worry, you'll get a less chance of passing.

If you want to pass, follow these tips. And stay confident in yourself!

Dinosaurs

My blog post is about about this article Faith wrote. I like dinosaurs and she gives me a lot of information about them.                                             

Did you that dinosaurs became extinct a long time ago? Fossils of dinosaurs tell how long it lived and how it got killed. If you follow a dinosaur's footprints, it may lead you to the fossils of the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs build their nest near other dinosaurs. They build their nest by other dinosaurs for protection. Did you know that scientists can
figure out the footprint of the dinosaurs and how quickly they traveled?
I like this post because Faith puts in good details. She also used good word choice.

Long-necked dinosaurs had a huge thumb or a pointy finger to get leaves at the top of trees. It could probably reach the highest tree. Brachiosaurus seems to be bigger than a giraffe. Brontosaurus can lift its tiny little head off of the ground like about 20 ft. Plus its front legs were longer than its hind legs. Long-necked dinosaurs migrated in herds of other long-neck dinosaurs. Did you know that a diplodocus could whip a predator with its tail because they can't run that fast?
I like the questions she puts into the details. I think that she  thought about what she wrote.

The Styracosaurus was 16 feet long and it could defend its young ones from predators by stamping the predators belly. Plus it could rip the predator's belly open. Kentrosaurus had seven pairs of spikes. It also has seven pairs of plates, too. A stegosaurus may use his spiny back to defend itself from enemies.

New Years Resolution

It is a New Year. Many people are making better changes in their lives. These are my goals for this New Year. 

One of my goals is spending more time studying the words in the dictionary so I can become more educated in vocabulary and spelling. A way I could accomplish this goal is by doing this right after I finish my homework. And on the weekend I will carry a dictionary everywhere I go. Also when I read a book I will stop at every word I don't know and look it up in the dictionary.

Another goal is to pass to 6th grade. A way I could accomplish this goal is by listening to everything thats going on. I could also study very hard. Studying the dictionary could also help me accomplish these goals.

Another goal is to make sure I don't pull a card my whole year in school or get in trouble. I am already off to a good start. A way I can accomplish this is to make sure I always do my homework. I will never come to school sleepy. Also I will never, ever, talk in class.
