In my class we just finished The Wish Giver it's about a man named Thadius Blinn. In this Story a wish giver gives a man and three kids a card with a red dot and they can only make 1 wish. The first kids name is Polly she wishes for people to pay attention to her. The second kid named Rowena wished for a boy to stay in Coven Tree forever. The third kid named Adam wished for water , but their wishes ended up being not that great. Instead polly croaked like a Bull Frog, Rowena made Henry into a tree. Adam's house flodded instead. At the end the kids went to Stew Meat's store for the last wish. They wished for every thing back to normal. If I had a wish I would wish to be rich because I could buy anything I want . I would buy video games. I would also buy a huge swimming pool to swim in it and I would wish for a computer to play games and do homework. I would buy a Flat screen television. I would buy a Gecko. I would buy a trampoline. That's what I would if I had a wish giver.
Great post, but I have a question! All of the characters seemed to have a consequence to go with their wish, meaning something bad happened instead of good. What do you think would really happen if you wished to be rich? Do you think you would get money? There are other ways to be rich, rich with love, friendship, knowledge, and many others. So what do you think would happen? Sounds like you know what you would like for Christmas as well ha ha!

Courtney, In the book I discoverd that the wishes weren`t that great. If I had wished for real money he might give me fake money instead of real money. What would you wish for if you only had one wish?

Dear Ivan,
I really enjoyed your summary of the book. I noticed that each of the characters wishes backfired on them. Why do you think that is? I also noticed that you would wish for money. If you did get money would you truly be happy? I know that in time money will disappear. I know that if I had a chance to make a wish, I would wish for a happy and fulfilled life and that everyone important around me would also be happy and live a wonderful life. The thing is, anyone can live a happy life, it is just up to them to decided to be happy or not.
