Perseverance: the act of keeping on trying and not giving up, even if you are faced with obstacles or difficulties.
The citizens in Louisiana and Mississippi must show a great amount of perseverance in order to overcome the disaster brought by Hurricane Katrina. Although tens of thousands of people have lost their homes, their businesses and jobs, and even family members, they cannot give up! Life as they know it has been completely disrupted. It may take years to rebuild their communities, but with the rest of the world supporting them and sending them necessary supplies such as food, water, clothing, etc., they will persevere!
What are some other examples of perseverance that you have seen on the news?
All the people in LouisianaIfeel sorry for them. I think we should raise money for them, okay, okay bye.

Hi Mrs. Hooper. I hope our school can be able to raise a lot of money for the hurricane damage. In Conyers Middle School, Officer Shirley [ he comes here] caught a student trying to steal from the donation! I'm glad Officer Shirley caught them. He sort of looks like my cousin Ron! Well, I hope we raise a lot and no one steals from the donation. You are GREAT!!

After watching the news of what hurricane katrina did.I felt so sorry for those people who lost their home.At first our teacher told us if we had any ideas.I said we could raise money and other people said that we could do a fundraiser.Others also said wonderful ideas. Then our teacher told us that if we did do the fundraiser would like a prize in return. The majority of the class said yes I thought in my mind that was not right, It was kind of like taking advantage of them.so I said no.Later that day our teacher told us that in return we would get a certificate. That was a perfect decision.
What i'm doing to help the hurricane Katrina victims is by posting a weblog on the internet so many people can help or donate money.that's why I will do my best to donate money.

The hurrian Katrina was a big big deal. Made a big disaster in New Orleans and it made it worse because the levis broke and all the water from Lake Pontatrain went into ther homes and cars.

I have seen alot of disasters but I think Hurricane Katrina has to be one of the worst. If the hurricane hadn't come here all of this wouldn't of happend. I'm sorry for those who were victims of the hurricane. I hope you are all right! It's all right its not your fault because you didn't know it was going to happened. Everybody in my school hopes that you and your family are ok!
