Chloe's Post.

  As I was entering a very interesting class post all the way from Mamaroneck Avenue Elementary School in Mamaroneck,New York, taught by Gordon Brune. I was very excited to see how many interesting blogs there were, so I had to choose one and I decided it would be Chloe's Weblog. So I went into her blog and there were so many interesting posts to choose from there too, it was another big argument with myself, so I chose one that really caught my attention. It was called "My Pets". I really enjoyed reading it because I really enjoy spending time with my pets. I hope you will really like it too that is why I put on my post. 

Marshmallow, my dog, loves to run around. She looks like her name: a puffy marshmallow! When she runs, like race-winning running, she looks like she’s galloping. She also loves to chase the waves (and run away from the big ones) in the ocean. She’s a good swimmer.Marshie (one of her nicknames, like Moo-Moo) likes to play games. Tug-of-war is her favorite. She also likes to go on walks. Or, as we call them, runs. She ALWAYS pulls you along, making you run. She loves to sleep with you. She lets me get her on my bed and lay her next to me. Then I hold her and fall asleep. When I wake up in the morning, she’s on the floor.Some people are scared of her. They are because when she was a puppy, she would jump on you when you came in the door. That got every one scared. Now, she doesn’t do it as much, but people are still scared of her.I love my dog.

   

What I think

When I finished reading this post I really enjoyed it because it reminds me of my golden retriever named Buddy. Buddy always made me smile and laugh. But sometimes he enjoyed his life a little too much. I'm glad I had him. But now I’m excited because I'm getting a new puppy! I already posted about the puppy I will get. What Weblogging is to me

 

                           Do you know what web logging is?

Well, read along and find out .To me web logging is where you can express your thoughts and feelings. Some people come just for fun. Others were chosen for their excellent talents. Like me I was chosen because I asked to be in Web logs.

   When our web logging teacher, Ms. Meeler told us that we had to write about “What Web logging is to us" that question popped in my mind so many times. At first I was like oh that will be easy. Then, I realized it wasn't just about a specific topic then typing it and having to do the same routine every single Thursday. It's about writing important facts, good details, sharing your thoughts and asking a good provoking questions. That's what web logging is.

   I realize that when I look at the clock and what until its 8:30, and enter through the door, I feel a great joy and happiness because I will spend another Thursday, talking with my friends and typing what I wrote. Then I just wait until I get home and look at my new post on my web log.

  If you had a web log, and somebody asked you what web logging was to you what would you say and why? If you already have a Web log, then what is web logging to you?

"My Gift to the World"

  If I had a chance to give something to the world it would be to bring peace.The reason I chose this, is because I hate to see other countries be in war and loose all those lives and be enemies. Other things I don't like about our country having disagreements with other countries it's because the could attack and cause major destruction.

    I might of chosen to pick something else, but I chose to write about this.

A New Pet

  One day as I came home from school, my brother told me that his friend was going to give him a chihuahua!I was so excited that on that night I just could not keep it of my mind.I just wondered hoe it was going to be and what I should call him.All that time many and many questions popped into my mind.

  One time when I was with my bother it was my chance to ask him when we ere going to get the chihuahua.He told me that in probably a month.Then the second question I asked was that exactly what kind of chihuahua it was going to be. He told me that it was a long hair chihuahua half something else, but I forgot. he also said that it ws white and that the puppy was probably going to be a boy. But I want a girl so that I could probably breed  them.

  One time I went to this website and there was alot of cute clothes. How I wish I had the puppy now.

   What would you if one of your family members told you that you were going to get a chihuahua?

Coral Reefs at Risk

 A report says global warming and human activity are destroying the world's coral reefs.

   Brightly colored have lived in ocean water for about 2 1/2 million years ago. According to the IUCN report, about 20 percent of Earth's coral reefs have already been destroyed .

  One of the biggest threats to corral reefs is called " bleaching." This causes the corral reefs to whiten, or bleach.When corral bleaching occurs, corral can die

                                      Rescuing the Reefs

   Carl Gustaf Lundin of the IUCN said climate change, or global warming, is a major contributor to the loss of reefs.

   Creating marine parks will also help reduce the destruction of reefs. The protected areas would make corral reefs healthier and help them with stand bleaching.

The New and Improved Post

  As you see I had to redo my first post which had many mistakes.So now It's much more less detailed and not just in a long paragraph like before. I hope you like my new and improved post.

   Hey I'm Graciela. As you see this year I will get to have my very own weblog. In which it is called Graciela's Buzzin' Weblog.

  I can't believe this is our first post. Which is very important to me.At the time I feel like learning more about weblogging and at the other time I feel like I want this year to end fast. Well lets talk more about me for example the things I like, how I am, what I like, all the kind of things people would like to learn about me.

   Ok, I'm ten years old, I was born in Los Angeles,California. And I have a sister that is 18 years old and brother that is 21. My favorite animals are cats, puppies, and guinea pigs. I especially like taking pictures of my pets.

   This may be weird but I like collecting many varieties of rocks. I also have many cousins at this school. Believe me it is a very long list. Last year my cousin Estefany, also had her own weblog , Which I read, believe me she is a very detailed person.

   Oh and her sister Zuleyma is also well known, because she got to go to Washington D.C. Which is pretty cool.I hope someday I'll get to go somewhere important too.But what I'm worrying about right now are my grades and participating in many things.

   I hope that children all over the country should understand that sometimes their teachers yell at them because their teachers want them to pay attention in class because their knowledge is important in the future.

Welcome Pandas

  Two panda cubs are born within weeks of each other at zoos in California and Washington D.C.

   Officials at the San Diego Zoo are celebrating a new addition to its family of pandas. On Tuesday night, 13 year old panda Bai Yun gave birth to a baby panda cub. The baby cub was the second birth this year. Just weeks earlier on July 9, Mei Xiang gave birth to a baby panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington D.C.

  " The birth of a giant panda cub is definitely something to celebrate, " said Yadira Galindo, the zoos spokeswoman. The baby cub born is in captivity at the San Diego Zoo weighed 4 ounces that's the weight of about a stick of butter.

   This is the third panda born in the San Diego's Zoo's history. The zoo has the largest population of giant pandas outside of mainland China. Besides Bai Yun and her newborn cub, there are two male pandas and a male cub that turns 2 on August 19.

  The National Zoo has to wait several weeks before giving the baby cub a checkup. On Tuesday, officials discovered that the cub was a boy! He passed his first checkup with flying colors. He weighs almost two pounds and is 12 inches long.

  There are about 1,600 pandas left in the world due to habitat destruction, bamboo depletion and poaching. Both zoos are working to help conserve the panda population.

                     What I Think            

I think they should keep on the good work. Pandas are very beautiful animals and my favorite bear. So I really wish they will take a lot of care of these gorgeous creatures.

Well I do, someplace I really  care about is Earth. Earth is very important to me and to people who want to help the enviorment, to make a better place.

   Did you know that the more people cut down trees there will be less oxygen for us to breath and less carbon dioxide to breath out for trees to breath in? That is why people and animals depend on trees and plants the same way they depend on us. Also if you contaminate the air, the air will become gray and  dirty.

                             So that is why we should all respect the Earth as our home.

My Sister's Sweet 15

On April 20, 2002, was my sister's sweet 15. We were all very excited. We invited many people, our cousins and friends. Even people we did not know.

  The first place we went to was our church, St. Pius X Catholic Church. Many people did not go, but the room was still very full. My sister looked very pretty, like a princess. Her dress was sparkling from the sun shining thought the the huge windows. By the way her dress was also puffy from the bottom and a very beautiful color of baby blue. When the priest was finished we all walked out the huge room. Then we all gave her a BIG hug. It took a while though.

  When we went to the reception the inside was so big and decorated.Of course my sister got her own table with blue flowers.There was also a lot of food but I did not any, it looked really gross. But I did have fun though. When everybody was finished eating everybody was finished eating, it was time for the big dance. Everybody was screaming and clapping others were taking pictures and recording everything.

  After the dance it was time for the cake, it was delicious. It was so gorgeous.On the bottom of it was a little fountain,  with shining blue water on it. I sometimes imagine if my sweet fifteen would be that pretty. When everybody left my sister put her beautiful presents inside the truck. She still has all the presents. Also her crown and dress. I can't until I might have my sweet 15.

What do you think of tests?

   I think that it is right to give us tests because our teachers and school even country want us to learn as much as we can. It's also unfair to many kids because they feel like their heads are going to explode! But they should know that in the future they may become very important people in their community. They could be one of those people if they pay attention and follow along with the class. And for the people who don't pay attention in class they wont get to have a wonderful career.

   That is why we should all accept that we have to take tests and learn, for our future.
