Today was different; we got to do an extremely different post. You will see many sentences with an idiom. These idioms are very fun to read. If you have never learned about idioms, then this is your chance to read them.
1. My sister was as mad as a wet hen when I spilled juice for the third time that day.
2. Out of the clear blue sky my sister gave me two bowls of ice cream.
3. We were very sad when we lost our money but when I opened a bag the money was right there; it was like pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
4. When we went to the park my brother told me to break a leg.
5. I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, that why my family and I have a lot of stuff.
6. When I went with my sister and her friend to the mall she told me to bug off.
7. After two long days on the road trip, my sister told me to button my lips.
8. When I told my sister that she was not going to get $150, she actually did get the money, so I ate my words.
9. I did not believe a word she said; she was full of hot air.
10. When I came home my brother told me that my sister had gone bananas.
Try this: For just a day try to come up with as many idioms you want. You'll never know if you can discover a new way of making idioms fun.

You know, one of my students once wrote a story using 50 idioms that we had studied! It was hard, but he did a really good job.
