Boys and girls you have done it! You’ve slain the not so might CRCT beast! Now that it is over, we can move on to another very important test - the FDFT (Field Day Festivity Test)! Okay, so maybe it isn’t really a test like the CRCT. Field Day does give you the opportunity to show off all those skills you have practiced in P.E. just like the CRCT allows you to show off all the knowledge you have gained during the year.
The best way to ensure that happens is for everyone to be a good sport. If you are not certain what being a good sport means then you should visit this website. Be certain you check out the “10 Ways to Be a Good Sport”. That list will provide you with tons of ways to show that you are a good sport. The website also offers some great advice on how to lose gracefully. Losing can be difficult for everyone, but we need to remember that no one is going to win all of the time.
Share some of your past Field Day experiences with me. How did you handle losing or winning? Were you a good sport? What is the most memorable thing that has happened during Field Day?
And remember this JHH Field Day motto: Winning is optional; having fun is mandatory!
I'm a teacher in New York and I really appreciate your Blog. What a great way to incorporate technology...and get parents involved in what you're teaching!
Would you be willing to share any field day ideas you have used...mine's coming up and I would like to revamp some of the days activities.
Thanks!
