What I Think

Every once in a while, we are going to post about things we feel strongly about and opinions we have. Some people might think kids' opinions don't matter--but that is not true! Although, if we have an opinion about something, we have to be able to support it with details. For example, I WISH I could eat ice cream everyday, but I know that is not a good idea. I cannot support that with strong statements, because if I really did eat junk all the time, I would be so unhealthy!

Let's put on our thinking caps and tell me what you think about the school and the world around you. Your opinion does matter! For example, I think I should be able to bring Ruby (my dog) to school. She is a very friendly dog. I know the class would love her being around. She might ever inspire them to do a dog gone good job on all their work! What do you think?

A Picture is Worth...

Can you write an interesting story from just one picture? Using sensational sentences, that is exactly what we did. We didn't quite use a thousand words, but we did work on using exciting details, vivid adjectives , and strong verbs to bring these pictures to life. Comments--Workouts for the Mind!

Having recently started blogging, we are learning many new things. We learned how to login into typepad, type our posts, preview and edit them, and save them. Now we are learning about comments. We are working on making meaningful, thought provoking comments. We want to show our knowledge to the readers, and we want to see what you know. Ask us good questions and we will do the same. This is like exercise for our brains. Lets hit the gym---the brain gym!
