Showing our Compassion in the Wake of Hurricane Katrina

The compassion shown by each of you toward the victims and survivors of Hurricane Katrina truly warms my heart.  From Jason bringing in his entire allowance of $62 that he has been saving, Omar's huge bag of coins, Joseph's letter to the citizens of Louisiana and Mississippi, and all the teddy bears donated from JHH students for the children of Hurricane Katrina, it is obvious that J.H. House is sending out our love, hope, and compassion.

The compassion expressed by each of you will help those millions of people who are rebuilding their lives persevere!  Thank you students for being so generous and supportive.

Please share with me how others you know have helped the survivors of Katrina.

I an so sorry about the people over their i glad we raceup the money.I gave a teddy bear.

I really enjoy reading your blog.

I've been listing to the news lately. You asked us to bring teddy bears to school so we can give them to the kids that were in the Hurricane Katrina. Were we saving money when they gave us the gallon bottle.I heard that OMAR brought a bag full of cions. Can we try to save money again.

I liked donating to the hurricane it was fun.

I know I have helped Hurricane Katrina, because I donated money and teddy bears.

I know that it's hard for the people because they lost the people they love. The little teddy puppie that I sent was my favorite stuffed animal. But I still sent it because I knew that sombody out there needed it more than I did. If I were in the hurricane my biggest efort would be HOPE. Right now I have HOPE for them.I know that they're going to move on and will feel like the hurricane never happened. I also saw the way it happened. When I saw all of the disaster I wanted to cry.

Ms.Hooper I'm agree with you.I know that we helped them alot. But I'm still sad because it was't just katrina there were alot of Hurricanes....

Bie.
