It Is Getting Hot In Here

The previous hurricanes like Rita and Katrina have really been strong . Why do you think they have been so strong? Do you think it is really bad luck or something else? Well I think it is something else , I think it is global warming.    Even though the world naturally traps heat, humans are adding C2O (carbon dioxide) which will trap more heat meaning it is going to get hotter. Scientist also think the situation could get worse. I think the heat will affect crops like wheat and will do things to plants that are used to make medicine. Also some ice caps may melt causing the sea level to rise making places were people live become under water.

I think it is because of global warming and many scientist also think it is global warming. Global warming is also being blamed for unusual floods, heatwaves, and droughts. Also scientists have been looking at the ice cap that covers most of the top of the world because it is 20% smaller.

Many things can be done to stop global warming but one is to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases by stop polluting the air. So now you know about global warming, and what will you do to stop it?

The Matters of My Life

What matters to me? Well many things matter to me, but the thing that matters to me the most would be grades. It matters to me because if I don't get good grades I won't get a good job. My mom and dad don't want me to have a job where I would get hurt or exhausted. They want me to get a job in the business industry or to be an engineer.

Also another reason that grades matter to me is because I want to go to college. If I get to go I'll be one of the only people in my family to get to go and get a college diploma. Because if I don't I would have probably wasted my life and time. Time that I could have used to get a job to help my dad get money to support the family.

Grades are important to me because they get me into programs. Like in 4th grade I was a Field Day Helper. That was because of my good grades at least I think so because we missed a lot of class. Also weblogging , I got into it because I finish early. That's because I thought of reasonable answers. So now you know what is important to me.

     So what matters to you?

Over Fall Break

Over The the Fall Break I helped my dad build a porch. When we started we had to knock the old one down. We knocked the previous porch to the ground by destroying the support, but first we took the roof off. After that we broke the cement blocks with anything we could find. I got to use a sledge hammer.

When that was done we put some new support beams up. Then we connected them with wood. For that I needed to climb up a ladder and hold the wood in place, while my dad nailed it in place. Then we had to built the structure for the roof. That part was easy because some people stood on a wall. But the other side was hard because we had to use the ladder or pile things on top of other things.

Probably by next week it will be ready. But first my dad will have to buy some things that look like black squares that go on the roof so it wont rot. Next we will get on top of the roof and nail them down. Next we will have to take the temporarily support beams off. So when that is completely done we will have a new porch.

I just liked it when I got to break the cement blocks.

What exciting thing did you do over the break?
