To Be Continued...

    The day I was coming from Mexico I was really sad because I did not want to leave I wanted to stay over there. I said good bye to everyone that I knew that was in Mexico. I said good bye to my friends and to my family. I was really sad. Everyone that was right there with my family and me were really sad. I wanted to stay at Mexico and I hope that we go back soon.

Could you show the sadness rather than tell it? Use body language of some of the characters (in this case, your family) and just expand on their feelings a bit.

Make the goodbye scene very dramatic and funny! That will make people wonder what will happen next.
